في عام ١٩٠٥، التقى رينيه لاليك بالعطار فرانسوا كوتي من كورسيكا، الذي درس فن صناعة العطور في غراس (بروفانس). وتوصلا إلى فكرة أن لكل عطر زجاجة خاصة به، وأن يتم إنتاجه بكميات كبيرة. ابتكرت كوتي العطور، وطوّرت لاليك تصميم الملصقات، ثم القوارير والأغطية. وهكذا، وُلدت صناعة العطور الحديثة. يتميز عطر "TERRES AROMATIQUES 1905" برائحة خشبية عطرية زاهية، تُبرزها رائحة الزعتر، وهو نوع من التوابل العطرية يزدهر في بروفانس. كما يُحاكي هذا العطر رائحة فرانسوا كوتي الشهيرة "تشيبر"، التي تتكون تركيبتها العطرية بشكل أساسي من مكونات متوسطية.

The heart notes transition into the warmth of the final, trailing, or base notes. These notes give the composition a sensual sound, ensure the longevity of the composition, and determine its richness. They can last up to 8 hours.
