Terres Aromatiques 1905
Terres Aromatiques 1905
In 1905, René Lalique met the perfumer François Coty from Corsica, who studied the art of perfumery in Grasse (Provence). They conceived the idea that each fragrance deserves its own special bottle and should be launched into mass production. Coty created fragrances; Lalique developed the design of labels; and then bottles and caps. Thus, the modern perfume industry was born. The fragrance TERRES AROMATIQUES 1905 is a bright woody-aromatic accent, highlighted by thyme, an aromatic spice blooming in Provence. This fragrance also resonates with the famous scent of François Coty, 'Chypre', whose perfume composition is mainly made up of Mediterranean ingredients.
