The era of the Roman Empire's bloom is known not only for its high technological achievements but also for a growing interest in winemaking. As known from ancient history, the Romans had a special taste for spicy wines, praising alcoholic beverages for their miraculous healing properties. The most famous wine of that time was called Conditum Paradoxum or 'Spice Surprise,' - this particular wine, generously seasoned with spices, was especially revered during the reign of Emperor Nero, and it was the main treat during festivities and shameless orgies, where guests indulged not only in unrestrained debauchery but also in intoxicating drinking.
Inspired by these events, the Perfume House SweDoft introduced the fragrance Spice Surprise: spicy, masculine, full of energy, this scent embodies the glamour and decadence of Ancient Rome, transporting us to events that took place 300 years BC.
